Option Type

To create the "Text Area" option type first you have to go to the app dashboard, select on option list and create option set → Create from Scratch.

Then click on "Add your first option" and select "Text Area".

Moving in you will have the option to add all the details for this specific option, like in the general section you can add the Option type name for yourself, set it to the products where you want to show it.

Then you can set it whether it's required for the user or not & also you can hide the label of this specific option from it.

Add the option label, help text, price type (fixed, percentage, no cost, per character, per word; any), price, placeholder text, any rows etc.

Also, you can limit the character count for the description box as well. See the image below

Add the option Style page, customize the positions and style of the text area. Like: To put the help text choose any place between below label, below field and tooltip. Set the preview text box in a different ratio and select text transform as you like. Follow the image below:

There is another button beside the style which is condition, from where you can set specific conditions for this specific option type(for Text Area only).

First, you have to enable the conditions to set up any conditional logic. You don't need any then do not enable it and keep it as it is. Then select the visibility for any specific or all products. After that, add a new rule if you need any to set up additional value.

After setting up all the conditional logic, do not forget to SAVE it from the right corner of the page to save all the details, style and conditions for this specific option type.
